when neighbor's AC goes on, my lights dim

Wondering if anyone has experienced this sort of thing. The dimming at my house is very slight (almost imperceptible) but definitely there.

I'm sure this is probably worth a call to the electric company but wondering if anyone has thoughts about this.

I have 200 amp service. Live in an older home (1925). The neighbors house is newer (1987). We both have the interruptable power service for our AC.

Thanks

You should contact your provider and have them check the situation.

What is an interruptable power service for the AC?

If the lights dim in your house when the neighbors AC goes on, then can we assume that you are served by a common transformer at the street? Ask the utility to check the size.

Sounds like the transformer that serves both of your houses is being pushed to its limit. The POCO may need to replace it with a higher rated transformer.
