How much electrical backround do you have? you can get a liscence simply by taking a test given by any town or state that you wish to do electrical work in. No you do not have to go to school there are some correspondence schools that offer electrical training, however I am not sure ho reputable they are. there are also trade or technical schools that offer classes as well. In almost every state there are also trade unions that offer apprenticeship courses kinda earn as you learn deal. I would talk to the state or city that you want to work in and see what they require.
