wiring rope lighting to a switch
I currently have one fluorescent light above the kitchen sink that is turned on by a wall switch. I would like to remove that light and install rope lighting under all of the cabinets. Is it possible to install rope lighting and wire it so that it turns on by the switch rather than plugging it into a receptacle? How would I remove the power cord so that I could wire it into the switch? Thanks for your help.

That rope light is probably UL listed with the plug. So.......
wire a recept to be switched by the switch that had controlled the flour light. Then plug the rope lights in that recept.
