panel brands

I am contracting out a service upgrade to 200 amps. Any advice on which brand panel is the best.

There are a number of fine brands. I think a SquareD QO panel suits most people's fancy.

I use QO also and dont feel bad about it at the end of the day that it was a hundred bucks overall for going best quality and the trip indicators are handy.

I had both a Square D QO and a Square D Homeline (subpanel) installed in my house for an upgrade. The QO is great, but there is nothing wrong with the Homeline and you save a few dollars as well.

I prefer GE and Siemens. Both are available in a remodelers kit for about $130 with 200A main 40space panel, copper buss bars, AND 6 20A breakers!!! (like getting 6 20A breakers for $10, usually $3.25ea) I wasn't too impressed with the sqD homeline.
