Recessed lighting question

I just bought recessed lights for my living room, and the instructions are pretty vague, but from what I can tell I need to buy some flexible metal conduit to run between the included wiring boxes and the light fixtures themselves. I guess I just need a second opinion since I've never installed these before.

On all the recessed cans I've seen, they come with that flexible conduit already in place when you buy them. What kind and brand did you buy?

I recently had a home inspection for a home I want to buy. The inspection shows a safety concern as follows: Garage door opener has been hard wired through ceiling of attic with romex type wiring. Romex that goes through walls must be in conduit or otherwise protected. How bad is this? Will it be costly to have it done correctly? I would't want even a potential problem.Read More
