Wire type for can light

I'm ready to install some 12V 4" IC rated low voltage can lights. A warning on the box stated to use wire rated to withstand at least 90 degrees C. Will the 12/2 Romex I have be ok?

Thanks

If you bought it any time in the last 18 years, then the answer is almost certainly yes. If it was purchased longer ago than that, the answer may be no. To confirm, look on the box or sheathing. If it says "NM-B", then you're good. If it instead says "NM" without the "-B", then you are not good.
