Question Breaker comparison

I have ran a new line for an AC unit that is 18,000 BTU's. The only thing Im worried about is using the right breaker. I understand that I need a 15amp dbl. pole. That's no problem. My question or worry shall I say is the manufacture of the breaker. My main panel is supplied by GOULD which is I-T-E. Who can I cross up with to use in this panel that will work and not put things in mess? Beings I live in Las Vegas, Nv. and the only way to get GOULD if you still can, is to order it. It's pretty hot and I would like to do it like now. Thank you for your help!

I might catch a little flak here but I am going to answer anyway. I believe Home Depot sells ITE yet. (or is it Siemans?) I also believe Challenger, Cuttler Hammer type BR and even a Homeline will fit. It is generally not recommended to switch brands but if it was MINE I wouldnt lose much sleep over it.

The Depot in my area also has a reference book for the breakers that are interchangeable. ask and they can look it up for you
