Question Lots of cables, but... Can I do it?

Picture this:
-This house has 8 rooms total (included bath, garage, laundry etc.)

I have:
-A 200 amps Main Box with 20 breakers on place and 20 free spaces.
-20 amps outlets (some with GFCI), and two 30s with romex 10/2.
-UF-B 12/2 romex with ground (I know this is an out door cable but this one is inside).

I really like the idea of keeping lights and outlets separated, each room separated as well. That is; TWO breakers for each room, That is 16 breakers plus two 30's... 18 total. Since I have lots of cable and breakers already, economy in this matters is not an issue.
What I'll really like to know is if, for residential purposes, that is legal or code accepted. Can I keep my idea? ... when my nephew saw the plans he said:
"!Oh my God... lots of cables, looks like a factory!".

Yes, but... can I do it?, a residential home furnished like a... factory? :-)

Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Sounds fine. You could put in a sub panel and have more breaker positions (and cables) if you like.
