Question New Light fixture

I am hooking up a new light in the bathroom in my parents older home and I can't get the wiring correct. The old design had a light fixture on each side of the sink. The left fixture has 3 sets of wires going to the box, one to run power to the hallway, one from the other fixture and one I have yet to determine, but I assume is it from the switch. The right fixture has wires coming from the celing and the wires to the left fixture. I have not touched the right fixture. I am trying to wire the new fixture from the old left fixture. The ways I have wired it up so far have either have had the new light on all the time, or the bathroom switch works the light in the hallway. Can anyone help?

yes someone can help but we need more info.

we need to know exactly what cables you have and where they go. we need to know colors and how many wires in each cable and it would help to know how it was hooked up before you took it apart.
