I'm getting ready to re-wire the old bedroom wiring in my 1950's house. There are three bedrooms, with a total of 11 outlets. According to my calculations:
11 outlets * 180 watts (est.) / 120 volts = 16.50 amps
Generally, the only thing plugged into these outlets is the occasional vaccuum, a couple of bedside lamps, and a few clock radios. (House is Central A/C).
This leads me to believe I can run all three bedrooms from one 20 amp circuit.
Is it better to run each bedroom from it's own separate circuit, or does it make sense to run them all on one circuit?
I plan to eventually replace the breaker for the bedrooms with an AFCI, but won't do that right now.
Any thoughts/opinions would be appreciated!
I'm installing a wall mount for my TV on a wall that has no outlet only a light switch. How and can I convert a existing light switch to a light switch/outlet?
Thank you in advance for any help.
Sincerely,
Dave
