Question Domestic Lighting - triple switching ?

Hi - I'm trying to renovate an older house, and specifically modify the lighting in one room where I currently have a particular ceiling rose which is switched from either of two wall switches. Can anyone explain how I need to wire an additional switch into the existing circuit(s), such that the light may be switched from any of the 3 switches ? or point me to a suitable reference ?

I understand and have traced the current wiring, and presume I need to get a third switch in-between the others, but am not sure how they should be wired - and it's doing my head in !!!

Thanks for any help.

Here take a look at this link and see if it helps you understand the four way switch concept.

Thx gard - everything's clear now. I was trying to get 3X 3 way switches to do the job (on paper) and didn't realise I needed a 4 way. Then it's easy.

Thx again - great forum.
