Hi All, I've recently removed the gyprock from a wall diving my dining room and living room exposing the wires so that I can plan on how to re-route them. Luckily, my dining room and living room are over the portion of the basement where the ceiling is not completed. So I can pass the wires through the basement. However, I need to make the wires longer in order to do so. My question is, since I don't actually have an end of the wire, I need to cut the wire and add the necessary length of new wire. This would involve adding 2 junction boxes for every wire that I extend. Is this ok to add 2 junction boxes? When connecting my wires to the junction boxes, i know to secure the wires in the boxes and connect the wires together with Marrets (Connectors) but Im curious if I do the same with the ground wire or do I ground the 2 ground wires to the junction box only or do I do both and ground the wires to the box while connecting them together? Any help greatly appreciated!

I am moving my hot tub away from my house. I am using 6-3wg and was going to use a air conditioner disconnect on the outside of the house as a junction for the indoor to outdoor wiring. Problem is I have 8 wires and only 6 connections/blocks on the disconnect--4 hot and 2 ground What do I connect the whites or grounds to? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
