ceiling fan switch
i recently purchased a new switch for my ceiling fan and now i cant get the fan to turn on. does anybody know what wires go where? i have 2 black wires,one red and one blue. the switch has contact points labeled 1,2,3 and L. which wire goes where?

L - constant hot
1, 2, & 3 are the speeds
Constant hot will be the wire that comes down thru the motor housing.
The other three are a crap shoot unless you know how the old one was connected or can find a schematic.
