Outside lamp post

I have a lamp post outside that the fluorescent tubes burns out within two months of replacing. Now I can't seem to get it to come on.....and it is connected to a light sensors.

Any suggestons would be appreciated.

Try resetting the GFCI. It's probably located at your house where the cable leaves the house. Or the photo sensor could have gone belly up. A multimeter could tell you if there is power reaching the post. Is the photo sensor on the post, or on the house?

most flourescent bulbs state that they are not to be put on cicruits controlled by solid state devices (i.e. photo sensors). It tears up the electronic ballasts. You might try to find a flourescent that is rated for this or switch to a long life halogen (at higher power consumption). Or finally, put the light on a timer with a mechanical switch.
