ceiling fan
I am tryig to install a new ceiling fan in my kitchen. I have no clue what i am doing there are two light bulb sockets each with thier own set of black and white wires. Do I just tie the black wires together and connecet to the black wire on the fan and do the same with the white?

Yes and if the fan has a light tie the blue into the blacks as well.
You should also check that the box can support the fan. If the box is plastic it can not support the fan and needs to be changed.
