sticky bulbs

Is the bulb stuck, or are you trying to keep the new one from sticking?
If the bulb is stuck then you can try a couple of things. Be sure to wear gloves or use a towel in case the bulb breaks. Also make sure the power is off at the switch.
Some say that if the bulb was inserted using the right hand, use the left hand to remove it. Another thing is to use one of those flexible plastic lid grips (helps to grip the lid) to remove the bulb.
If worse comes to worse, then you can put a small bad around the bulb and break it. Then carefully (MAKE SURE THE POWER IS OFF AT THE SWITCH - preferably off at the box) and use a pair of needle nose pliers to grasp the metal part of the bulb and twist it out.
I've seen postings that recommend a light coating of vaseline (very light) on the bulb threads before installing the new bulb.

To improve the slickness of the surface, turn the power off the the fixture, buff the internal threads with a towel or other coarse cloth. Buff the base of the light bulb, too. This will clean off any oxidation. I find that cheap light bulbs tend to bind in the sockets.
Hope this helps.

nik,
Use brass base bulbs whenever possible. They stick less than the aluminum based ones. Also, I have seen a lubricant sold near the checkout of Menard's that is just for this purpose.
