Question 100 Amp Service also

I also have a 100 Amp service to my house but everything is electric. Water heater, stove, dryer, A/C, inground pool, 110 Spa. I have no room in the box and when the new 4 ton A/C kicks on I do experience light flicker. My question is will this reduce the drying ability of the dryer? It seems to take forever to dry heavy towels or bed linens. Lastly, I live in NJ, what would be the cost guess/estimate in upgrading to a 200 amp service?

Thanks,

Doug

A 100-amp service is very insufficient for an all-electric home with 4 tons of A/C and a pool. You need 200-amp service badly. The upgrade will probably run in the neighborhood of $1700, plus or minus $500.

However, I don't think this has anything to do with how long it take your electric dryer to dry towels. Make sure the dryer vent is clear.
