In an office I have a laser printer that requires a dedicated outlet. The oulets we have available to use have a small triangle at the bottom. The triangle isn't orange but black and the outlet faceplate is tan and the receptacle is tan too. I'm assuming the black triangle means it's an isolated ground. Is an isolated ground always a dedicated outlet? And is a dedicated outlet always an isolated ground? If it's not already a dedicated outlet is it expensive to make it one? In other similar offices I've noticed orange receptacles with orange (maybe green) triangles at the bottom. Are these both isolated grounds and dedicated outlets or just one or the other? I removed a ceiling fan and trying to install a chandelier. From the ceiling there is a black wire, white wire, and red wire, as well as a bare copper wire. My chandelier consists of one wire, looks like a regular lamp cord that can be split into two, and a bare silver wire running besides the cord. Do I assume that the cord coming from the chandelier is one power cord or do I need to split them. And if I do split them how would I wire them to the ceiling wires. Please help.
