Anyone know of an online deal on UF wire ?

I need to buy about 2500' of 8-2 UF wire.....and I'd like to get it on one spool IF possible. Best I can find locally is $0.54/ft and 1000' reels.

Battery trickle charger to keep a bank of batteries up. Just need 2-3 amp and already figure to use a Buck Booster transformer to overcome the voltage drop ( already figured)

The batteries will power the low watt radios needed to get wireless internet into our valley. Already got the tower up on top my mountain.

Thought about solar but my ISP guy doesn't want to depend on them due to a lot of cloudy weather in winter ( personally, I think they would do fine)....

Another option might be to use 8/3 and use a multiwire circuit to reduce the load by half which would also reduce voltage drop a lot too. You could use 2 smaller chargers. Someone here could calculate that as well as yourself and see what kind of figures only an amp would come to.

update outlets

hey, Most of the outlets in my home are the old one sw/ only 2 slots. I was thinking about updating them to 3 holed outlets. Is this a major problem, or is it simply a matter of connecting the old wires to the new outlet the same way? thanks birch:D

I currently have my spa and guest house on the same 15amp circuit breaker. Everytime I run the A/C in the guest house, it trips the breaker. I am going to be installing a 1000W outdoor Sodium Halide light for the guest house. I definitely need more juice for this circuit. Can I simply disconnect the 15 amp breaker and install a 20 or 30 amp breaker in its place? If not, what is the easiest way to get more juice and how can a non electrician like myself do it? I do not think that I can put the spa and guest house on seperate breakers because the guest house feeds off the spa's circuit. I do not know, I am very electrically challenged.
