Question Ceiling fan wiring

OK- I've decided to cut the holes - install the boxes (yes the strong ones that hold 70 lbs) and install the fans- I have an electrician that will wire them into my switches once I am done- He just ask that I leave about 30' of wire in the attic. Now- my question is- I purchased 14-3 (600 volt I think) Romex. Is this the recommended wire I use??

14/3 is good if the breaker on this circuit is a 15-amp breaker. I assume you want two switches on the wall, one for the fan motor and one for the fan light. Assuming that the power feed will come into the switch box and not the ceiling box, then 14/3 will do the trick.

14/3 will work even if the power comes to the fan on the ceiling. Remark the white and use it for the hot.
