No ground wire

I'm sure this is a reflection of being new to the game, but... I'm trying to replace an old light fixture with a new one. I've taken the old fixture down, but there is no ground wire coming out of the box, only a black and white. What do I connect the ground wire in the new fixture to? Thanks

If the fixture has a bracket with a green screw, connect it there. If the box is metal, connect it to the grounding screw on the box. If the box is metal but has no grounding screw, go buy a grounding pigtail at your home center. If the box is not metal and there is no bracket, then leave the ground wire unconnected.

If the fixture came with a warning about 90-degree wire, do not ignore it.
