plastic outlets

Hello Folks, I've read old posts on this subject and just wanted to be sure I have this right.

I'm running 14/2 wire for outlets and switches coming off existing wiring. I'm using plastic boxes and will pigtail the ground to switch/outlet.

Some of the old boxes are metal. Some are grounded and some just have the ground wire twisted without even a wire nut. I will remedy this by grounding all metal boxes with pigtails and clips or screws.

At the end of my plastic box run do I need a metal box or is grounding to the switch/outlet/fixture okay?Is all this right???

Sorry for the long post. I would like to say thanks to all the pro's who answer my questions. It's really great of you to take the time to keep answering the same old questions differently worded. Thanks in advance for your help. Eric

You don't need a metal box in the run. The proper grounding is accomplished through the proper wiring technique itself.

Hope this helps.

14/2 with ground on a 15 amp circuit, pigtails to the outlets in the run, put the wires under the screws. Sounds good to me.
