Wireing a ceiling fan

I am wireing a ceiling fan. I want the fan to be wired as a three way and the light as a seperate three way. Do I need to run both as totally seperate circuits or can I wire the blacks to all four swithes and just seperate the whites.

seperate three ways, seperate travelers and switch legs. You can feed both sets of three ways from one circuit. But, beyond the first switches, all wiring will need to be seperated.

SHOULD A SERIES OF FOUR CEILING FANS BE PUT ON AN AN ADJUSTABLE VOLTAGE REASTAT TURN ON/OFF SWITCH??? WE HAD AN ELECTRICAN INSTALL THESE FANS ON THIS TYPE OF SWITCH. AS A LAYMAN, I BELIEVE A CEILING FAN SHOULD NEVER BE WIRED UP TO AN ADJUSTABLE VOLTAGE SWITCH. COULD CAUSE THE MOTORS TO BURN OUT OR A POSSIBLE FIRE IF NOT TURNED OFF FULLY. THANKS, BOB:)

Hello Folks, I have a lot of old gray two wire going mostly to fixtures and outlets. How do I tell the gauge??? Volt meter?? I would like to replace it where I can. Should I use a 12/2 to be safe??? The best I can follow it the gray wire seems to be connected to 15 amp breakers. Most of the newer white wire is 12/2. I've got 3 electric boxes and would love to rewire the whole place,albeit no cash though. I'm converting a couple of rooms and want to use an old 12/2 that was running into a recessed heater in an old bathroom. With the proper rated recepts can I use this for outlets and switches. Best I can tell, it's looks like a dedicated run. Thanks in advance Eric
