? about house electical system for insurance

I'm buying an old school house built in 1840. I need some help in order to answer the following questions for home owners insurance. 1. Amperage - how do I determine the total? 2. Type of wiring-how/where do I look? 3. Age of electical system.
Some background- I've lived in the house for 7 years so bank did not demand an inspection. The house has fuses, I have a washer/dryer (with appropriate line) run 2 computers an air conditioner and stove. I think that the system was upgraded in the late 70's. The owner/landlord is elderly and can't help with many of these question. Thank you!

It might be worth a few pesos to have an electrician come take a look at the entire system and give you a rundown.
