Wiring for a tanning bed

How difficult is it to change a 110 v outlet to a 220 v outlet to run a tanning bed from your home?

Step One----The 2 conductors in the outlet-box must go from the outlet-box DIRECTLY to the C-B panel without ANY other connections. The ONLY connections in this circuit must be at the O-B and C-B panel.

Good Luck & Enjoy the Experience!!!!!!!!!!!1

First question, is the plug on the tanning bed three or four prong?

If it is four prong then it is unlikely that you can make the change. Even if it is 3 prong, it is unlikely that you can make the change.

As stated above, you need a dedicated outlet. In most residences, dedicated outlets only ecist for appliances, such as refrigerators, washers, freezers, etc. Any such outlets are probably already in use. You may find a dedicated outlet you could convert, if you have an outlet for say a window air conditioner and you jhave installed central air.

However, your dedicated outlet to convert would need to have the appropriate guage wire running to it, which it may not.

Even if you meet all the conditions, you may be better off running a new circuit so that the outlet is exactly where you want it.

Provide more inforamtion and we may be able to answer better.
