breaker box

Anytime I use my dryer, it blows the breaker. I have to flip the dryer switches and restart the dryer. I felt the area next to the two switches i have to flip and it was warm. My husband wants to change the switches to the dryer and doesn't know how. Any ideas?

Why did you say switches plural? There should only be one switch to feed your dryer?
What type of dryer? Gas or electric?
What type of breaker? What ampere rating?
Please provide specifics.

I suspect that the problem is related to the use of two breakers instead of a single double breaker. Are the two breakers one right above the other?
Is there anything else tied to either of these breakers?
The double breaker should occupy two spaces in the circuit breaker panel, and should have one continuous switch(as you called it) to turn on, turn off, or reset the breaker.
Who installed and wired this dryer?

The two breakers are one above another, however, it is controlled by two seperate switches. I can flip one and not the other or I can flip both. There is nothing else tied to the breaker. It occupies two spaces. I think the manufacturers installed it.
