Unhappy Code Q for recep in bathrooms

I need to install a 110V 15A recep RIGHT NEAR the toilet to plug in a bidet. I have a 20A GFCI recep right on the other side of the wall(toilet is sitting in its separate room). What's the code requirement to install a recep right next to a toilet?? Is it considered a wet area??

My initial plan is to tap off that 20A recep and install 20A recep right near the edge of the toilet bowl. Is this legal??

Thanks in advance.

As long as you are gfci protected I see no problem with what you plan to do. However I am no code expert so wait for reply from one of the moderators....RL

As long as the new receptacle inherits the GFCI protection of the one you are tapping off of (i.e., it is wired to the load-side terminals), and assuming the bidet's power requirements are modest, this is fine.

It's not a wet area unless the bidet is designed to shoot water on the wall.
