dead outlets

Okay, so this weekend I tried replacing a celing light with a fan. Going by the guideline in the manual for the fan and getting some tips from a handyman in the house I wired the fan. When I flipped the breaker on the fan tripped it back off. Thats when I decided to quit. so I took the fan down, and turned the breaker box back on and everything seemed to work fine till later that day I pluged my computer into one of the outlets in the room. but the computer didnt power up. I tried another outlet and it one did not work aswell. But the other three out lets in the room do work. I can get a hold of all the equipment, but I dont know what to do please help.

Good afternoon. I'm guessing that when you got into the junction box the light was attached to, you disconnected all of the wires in the box instead of just the ones going to the light fixture. If that is what you did, please post back and tell us how many pairs of black and white wires are in the J box and how or if they are connected to each other. Then we can help you get back to normal.
