Question outside wire to new portable building?

I have a new portable building that is a few feet away from the deck outside, which has a plug on it near the bottom. If i run uf-b from the box on the deck to the new building will i be ok setting up a light with a switch inside the storage shed?

is there a procedure i need to follow?? i have basic electriucal wiring skills , anything else i shoudl know???

It's probably okay. Proper technique is important. Get a book or two.

I assume that the receptacle is already GFCI protected, so protect that UF-B with conduit while above ground (and until it reaches the bottom of the trench) and bury it at least 12 inches deep.
