Question How do I design a lnadscape lighting plan

Hi Folks!

I just had a beautiful Unilock walkway installed. It's about 60 feet long and rises about 10 feet from driveway to the front door. There are 8 steps about halfway flanked on both sides by new stone walls. I'd like to incorporate safety lighting on the stairs as part of an overall landscape lighting plan but I've never worked with low-voltage lighting before and don't know where to start.

How do I design a lnadscape lighting plan? Are there any recommended resources available on the web?

Landscape lighting design is provided by some landscape services. a photo of your house is scaned into a computer and the lighting is digitaly added to the photo and then the photo is darkened to show how the lights might look. After the customer is satisfied with the look, the photo is printed with a material list so the customer can install it themselves or have it done professionaly.

I know of a company in my area (IN) that provides this service if you think it might help I can E-mail it to you.
