What is the right way to wire a switch from a breaker? And then from the switch to ceiling light?

At the switch, connect both black wires to the screws on the switch. Connect both white wires to each other but not to the switch. Connect both grounding wires to each other and to the green screw on the switch with a pigtail.

I want to run a 60 amp 250V circuit from existing house panel, to my workshop,outbuilding. Distance is about 30 feet max. I want to run it to a 8 circuit panel in the building with a ground.
