Switch warm to the touch?

Here I go showing my ignorance again. I have recently installed a series of 5 recessed lights in the kitchen and controlled by a dimmer switch. Is it normal for the switch body to be fairly warm to the touch after it has been on for a few minutes?

This may be normal, but I have never noticed it before.

"Fairly warm" is perfectly okay.
"Too hot to touch" is not okay.

Thanks John, I'll sleep a little easier now. Being a novice to this stuff, I didn't want to assume it was OK, as we all know what assuming will do for you! Especially when it comes to electicity.
