Bonding to Metal Bldg

Speedy I know you visit various boards so I thought I might try to catch you here.

Thanks for the advice on the other board but I have a couple questions for you.

Will a 5/8" - 8 foot ground rod do the job for me ??

Am I to use a special clamp for underground applications to bond the #6 to the rod ??

How do you suggest I bond the metal building and the rebar to the grounding rod I assume ??

My water supply will be piped with PVC.

Thanks,
Ray

Hey there. I did post back on that "other" board.

5/8"x8' is standard issue. Some local or special codes call for 3/4" but this is rare.

A regular copper ground rod clamp is rated for direct burial.

For the steel drill a convenient location near the panel and bolt a small lug to the steel. Usually a 1/4-20 screw & nut is fine for this size.
A ground rod clamp will usually work for 1/2" rebar.
