Power for miniature lights

My wife is building this miniature house, she wants to add lights in it, we would like to run mini light via battery power, how do I calculate the battery power need to run certain number of lights, and what size wire will be needed?

What type of mini lights will work for this, any Ideas?

If she is constructing a doll house you can obtain all sorts of miniture fixtures, wire, and transformers from a doll house/hobby supply outlets. I never knew shuch stuff existed until my wife went through a doll house construction phase.

Maybe we can use Christmas tree stringer lights and use regular power source, what do you think?

She is building scaled down version of studded walls, so all the wires will be hidden in the walls and the under floor.
