Wiring Mystery

I have a bathroom switch and outlet on the same circuit as a bedroom switch and closet switch. The outlet only worked when the switch was off. I had an electrician come in and correct the switch along with wire an additional outlet in the bathroom. Now, the bedroom switch will not come on at all. However, if I turn the bathroom and closet light on, the bedroom switch will first turn off the closet and then if the closet switch is off, will turn off the bathroom.

Any thoughts? I am hesitant to have the electrician come back.

Could it be a three way switch in either of the locations?

You need to do a complete inspection of each and every place these wires run. I mean each switch, each receptacle, each light fixture, etc. Make a complete inventory of what wires are connected at each location and how they are connected. Be specific, Identify the wires by color and by cable.

Call the electrician back. Ask him if he guarantees his work. An electrician that fixes something and breaks something else in the process should be willing to come back for free and fix his mistake. It's probably something simple.
