lights out

We live in a two year old houre. The lights
in the main bathroom keep going out. We
replaced the breaker and check the three
single pole switches to make sure there were no loose wires. Could a bad switch do this? The three switches operate two light fixtures and a fan unit. All three are
in a triple switch box.

Please provide more information.
Do they go out and come back on by themselves? Do they trip the breaker? Do they trip a GFCI outlet?
What do you do to get them to come back on?

lights out
My lights go out by themselves and come back on by themselves. The breaker did not trip. We replaced it anyway as a logical 1st step. Sometimes you flip the
switch and light comes on next time it does'nt. Then later it will work again.
We are at a loss.

It sounds like a loose connection. I would first look at the switch. Make sure that all connections are tight, and that they are using the screw terminals and not the backstab connections.
If that doesn't fix the problem then you will have to start examining the other outlets (receptacles or lights) on the circuit.

lights on

neutral wire in the main power supply box.
I guess they did not tighten them enough.
We found that several of them were loose.
Just so you know this was the last place we looked. We tried the overhead light, the fan unit and the vanity lights after we
looked at the switches to see if anything
there was loose. Then we replaced the switches.......one could have been bad.
Last we checked the circuit box and found the loose neutral wire. What a hunt! I am
glad it is over. Thanks for the heads up.
