four wire to three wire
#1

Hello, everyone and thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
I am replacing an old built-in cooktop. The old cooktop had four wires (black-to-black, red-to-red, white-to-white and green-to-ground). The new cooktop I am installing only has three wires and the instructions are pretty clear about how they should be connected (black-to-black, red-to-red, green-to-ground). It doesn't take a genious to figure that out .
My question is this: what do I do with the white wire??

Thanks again.
