non-working floodlight

I replaced the switch and bulb on our outdoor flood light but it still doesn't work. could it be the wires and/or do I need a new light? thanks.

Yes, it could be the wires or the light. Or it could be that you wired the switch wrong.

However, you can figure this out. Did you connect the new switch in exactly the same way? Do you have power at the switch? Do you have power at the light with the switch turned on?

It could be a lot of things including
A GFCI tripped somewhere
Bad fixture
bad socket in the fixture
bad motion sensor if you have one
bad wires
bad connections
tripped breaker
