3 speed ceiling fan switch
Is there a standard wiring process to rewire a 3 speed ceiling fan? My tennant removed a broken switch from the fan without noting the wiring pattern. I have been trying to rewire it with no luck. The only thing I've been able to get is 2 speeds and the fan goes on when the light is turned on. Any suggestions??

I believe that there are several different types of fan speed switches available. If you have the old switch, note the number of wires and verify the replacement has the same number. If they are different, get the correct switch. As far as any standards for fan motor wire colors, I do not know of any. Any one else know for sure?
