Dyson DC07 cutting out

I have a Dyson DC07 which runs for about five minutes before cutting out. If you switch off and leave for 5 mins it will work again for a few mins. After it cuts out, if you do not switch off the power switch it will not work again untill the power is cut. then you have to wait for 5 mins. The hoses and filters are both clean and not blocked in any way.
Can anyone help?

It's probably a thermal cutoff. There are lots of possible reasons why it might be overheating, such as improper voltage supply or any of a number of malfunctions of the unit. You might try it at yor neighbors house to see if it happens there too. If it does, and if you can find nothing wrong with it, I'd suggest you take it in for service. If it runs fine at your neighbor's, measure the voltage at the outlet, both while the unit is running and while it is not.
