Question code on horizontal nailstops???

I am 99% ready for my ROUGH ELECTRICAL INSPECTION on
a new construction house in MICHIGAN. I know I need to put in nailstops (metal plates), I already put them over all of the top and bottom plates, do i have to put them over the wires that are run horizontal through the studs?

quick response would be appreciated

Remember that Code is a minimum.
The magic number is 1 1/4". If you have more than 1 1/4" of wood between the edge of the stud and your cable, then you don't need the nailplates.

Good point. I wouldn't hesitate to exceed code requirements in my own dwelling. Especially with the nail plates if I thought there was any chance a wire might pierce the cable.
