We would like to add an additional breaker box in our garage. The distance is approx. 70', we will be running a 110 air compressor, a 220v window air conditioner, some recepticles and two GFI's. What size of box should we look for and what size and type of wire will it take to carry the load?

There are too many unknowns for a precise answer, but I'd probably recommend 6/3 on a 60-amp breaker.
