Electrical connections
I just bought and installed two light fixtures. I then noticed on the box that minimum 90 degree C supply conductors are required and that houses older than 1985 usually have only 60 degree. How do I tell the rating? I do not see it on the Romex.

Okay first question, was your house built before 1985?
You will need to find an area of your home where the outer cable sheath is visible. Look in the attic, garage, basement, or any other area where the wiring might be exposed. If the cable is marked "NM-B", it is the newer 90 deg rated wire. If you just see "NM" it is not.
