Live Wire Capping

I have removed 2 box lights in my bathroom and, for the time being, just want to safely cap off these wires until, at a later point, I decide what to replace them with. Do I just wrap them in Elect tape and put a wire nut on each? Can they (B&W) touch each other or is that bad? Help - thanks.

Just screw a wire nut on the end of each wire. Don't let the bare ends of the wires touch each other--that will result in a short circuit with sparks, arcing, tripped breaker, etc. Hopefully these wires are contained within some type of outlet box and can be neatly folded back into the box prior to the installtion of new fixtures.

As has been suggested, place a wire nut on the end of each wire. If you wanted to you could add electrical tape, but it isn;t necessary. You should also place a blank cover over the junctions boxes. This will prevent anyone from sticking a finger or something else into the box.
