Bad Light Switch?

I have a light switch that when it's turned on it makes a low buzz and the light comes on dim. After about 3 to 5 seconds it stops buzzing and the light brightens up. Do I have a bad light switch or could something else be causing the problem?

If the switch makes a buzz that's a dead giveaway that the problem is in the switch. Replace it.

cove lighting

Hi there! Just finishing our lower level...above the bar area, the ceiling is bumped up 8 inches.(bump up area is 5'x9'). Cove molding is attached around the perimeter, creating a recess for accent lighting. (attached to bottom of 8" vertical sides). The entire bump up is finished in wood(sides, top, trim) to match cabinets with a ceiling fixture in the center. Problem: Just tried 1/2" rope light...recesses perfectly into the cove molding, but too much glare onto the wood ceiling....every little light in the rope is reflected onto the ceiling. Any way to filter this? Is there something other than rope light? Hope someone has some idea! Thanx SteverayRead More
