do switched lights in bathroom need gfci circuit?

I am wiring a new bathroom and plan to put a gfci outlet. Do the switched lights need to be on a gfci circuit (sconces on either side of mirror)?
That doesn't seem to be the case in my other bathrooms. Thanks.

Light fixtures in bathrooms do not need to be GFCI protected, unless they are over a tub or shower.

Some people do protect them, others don't.
