multiple 3 way switches

Can I use 3 3way switches to control the lights in a room with 3 entrances? If so how do I wire it? If not what else can I do?

For the setup you desire the correct approach is to use two 3 way switches and one 4 way switch. The three way switches are used at each end of the switch run and the four way switch is used in the middle of the switch run.

In fact, you can use an unlimited number of 4 way switches with two 3 way switches to control an outlet from an unlimited (plus 2) number of locations.

There are many different ways to do this. The best way to wire it up might depend on the topology of the room. But I highly recommend the way shown below, since it offers the least chance of screwing the job up. I use "-" to indicate 14/2 and "=" to indicate 14/3.

Power-3W=4W=3W-Lights
