pool pump installation

Instruction says: " Use motor bonding lug to connect the motor with other bonding parts using a #8 AWG conductor as required by electrical codes."
What does that mean?

How can I determine if my cuircit line is 115 or 220/230. ??

Run the #8 to a ground there. Check code for where you are.

If you dont know what to look for in the panel. Id say get a meter and read it out. Is the wire on a double breaker? That would be 220V.

All metal within ten feet (or some distance like that) needs to be bonded together and connected to the lug on the pool motor. This means the metal sides of the pool or the rebar in the concrete, any metal ladders or handrail, a metal fence surrounding the pool, etc.
