220 Outlet doesn't match plug
I read a posting from a gentleman that had a stove with a four prong 220 plug and the wall in his house had the older three prong receptacle. I have a similar problem.
I have a band with a large sound system and light show. I run into power problems more often than not. To solve the problem I have a step down box that has a three prong 220 plug. More and more I am running into the four prong 220 receptacles. I need a way to use both. I have a pigtail with a three prong plug and a three prong receptacle. I would like to create a pigtail with a three prong receptacle to plug the step down box into and a four prong plug so I can use the 220 provided by clubs.
Is this possible?
I have a large investment in equipment so I am open to the most correct and safest way to do this.
Thanks,
