Wire and Breaker Size
I bought Lincoln 225 Arc Welder, 230v, single phase and need to run wire from my panel about 150'. What size wire should I run and what size breaker?

That machine needs a 50A breaker. But, a 150 ft is a long way and the machine will work at that distance for home use with 1/8 electrodes on number 8 wire, 6 would be better,, however, is this going to another building that there is already electric service in? Is it going to an attatched garage? Is the wire going to be buried or a cable running thru a building? Here is a site dealing with welding. http://www.hobartwelders.com/mboard/
