Load Calculation

Doing a load calculation, question is for swimming pool pump. Is this just the nameplate or the nameplate plus or minus a percentage??

Also the load calculation for a house with 2 a/c units.. take both at a percentage or just one???? help is greatly appreciated.

Rikamy, generally speaking you will sum up the a/c units and compare that with the heating and throw out the smaller of the two and enter the largest on the form. Is the swimming pool pump 220 or 120 and what is the H.P. you will need this if the FLC is not stated on the nameplate. Again generally speaking you take the largest motor involved in the home calculation and calculate its volt amps (watts) then mutiply it by 25%. You may not even need to factor it in if a single phase motor somewhere else has a larger flc. Many times if the pool pump is 220 volts it will have a smaller flc than one of the 115 volt motors ..RL Note There are many different ways to calulate demand loads for dwellings this is only one of them See the below link for clarification
