Dead outside plug!!

I was using my outside plug and it tripped the GFI breaker in the panel. It controls my bathrooms and outside plug. I turned it off and on, the bathroom plugs are working, but one plug in kitchen and the outside plug is not working. How can I remedy this problem?

If there are no GFCI Receptacles that are on the circuit that may have tripped (someone may have installed one even though there is a GFCI breaker), then you will have to examine the receptacles themselves, looking for a wire that may have become disconnected.

Yes, a failed connection could cause half of each receptacle to be dead.

Sounds like a multiwire circuit. Look for a second breaker.

Joe, in the U.S., this multiwire circuit serving split receptacles would be required to be controlled by two breakers with a common trip lever. Does Canada have a similar requirement?
